Greatest Weekend Ever... I think so!

So despite the fact that blogger was being wonky and I couldn't tell what happened I'm just going to say that this weekend was AMAZING!

First, I went down to Maryland to babysit a 1 year old. Now, I love Christen to death but when she told me that Andrew's new favorite thing is to bite and pull hair I was worried. But, he was a perfect angel and so lovey! I kept getting hugs and really, what's better then baby hugs? Nothing!

Last night I saw Bridesmaids and I laughed so hard it's not even funny! I was on the fence about seeing it but after everyone told me it was amazing I went and I was sooo not disappointed. Go see it!

And perhaps the best thing this weekend was that I booked my ticket for RomCon!! And what's even better... Kati from
Romancing Rakes is going to be my roomie!! And you know what else... Rita from Not Another Romance Blog is coming too! (Ok, so she's not official yet but she's coming if I have to stuff her in my suitcase!) So yes, The Pervy Trinity will be taking RomCon by storm so watch out Denver!

I am sooo excited for RomCon because not only do I get to meet Kati and Rita but I also get to meet some of my favorite Naughty Authors: Jenn LeBlanc and Ashley March! And Jenn is bringing her Muse DH to RomCon! And I hear Ashley is bring us some Blue Bell ice cream!
So I am really, really excited for RomCon! Now I wish it was August!

*RomCon Giveaway Quote for Seducing the Duchess*
"She was glad for the brace of his arms holding her in place, keeping her from leaning into him. Her mind knew better, but her body was traitorous, yearning for him. This man who knew how to strum her body, how to cry out with pleasure with his deft, knowing fingers."

Do you know what else I'm excited about: Man Candy Monday! Tonight is Jock Candy and it's Beth Yarnall's Birthday! So Happy Birthday Beth! My present is Cristiano Ronaldo!
Now don't forget to join us tonight 9pm EST and 6pm PST for some yummy men! See you then!

Kindle Love

I love, love, love my Richard Henry. And by Richard Henry I mean my Kindle. Yes, that's how much I love it, I named it. Now, why do I love it so much... Let me count the ways!

I love the instant gratification of being able to download the book right then and there. There is no need to go and get dressed and drive to the book store. I can sit right in my living room in my pajamas and buy a book.

The sample button is my friend! Every time I see a book that sounds interesting but I've never read the author I can just have a sample sent. It's like author speed dating. I get a couple chapters to see if I like the author's tone and if I don't then I haven't wasted my money because its FREE!

I tend to travel a lot. and I must always have something to read cause I've been known to get stuck in airports (like the time I was stuck in Syracuse for 8 hours) and books can get heavy. But my Richard Henry is very light and carries hundreds of books so I always have something to read. And if I don't like what I'm reading I can always find something else thanks to the Kindle Store!

Another great thing, the pricing. A lot of the E-books are priced lower then the paperback version and sometimes are on sale for really cheap or FREE! This is another way to try out a new to you author and I have found some gems thanks to this!

I have the Kindle app on my iPhone which is amazing! When I'm out running errands I usually don't have Richard Henry on me but I always have my phone which means I can read anywhere. It makes things interesting when I'm at a family function and I'm reading a sexy book while trying not to blush.

Don't get me wrong, I love paperbacks and I will always buy them especially for certain authors. But, Richard Henry has definitely made my life a bit easier. Do any of you have a Kindle or and E-book reader? Do you love it or is just OK?

Now, next week I'm working on a post about those free E-books I mentioned. So tell me, if it's free do you download it? Do you start reading them knowing that they are maybe not up to par with other E-books?

Did you hear?

Huzzah! Did you hear the news? Kati aka Romancing Rakes is doing her first author interview and giveaway! And just who is this lucky author? Why it's the super fabulous Jenn LeBlanc author of The Rake and The Recluse. You want to know the best thing about Jenn LeBlanc's book... its illustrated. And by illustrated I mean pictures of real people! And let me tell you, those pictures HAWT! I mean, just look at the cover!

Now see that gorgeous man on the cover? That would be our newest obsession, Derek, or DH. So a few nights ago we were twittering about how much we are in lust with that sexy man (seriously get the e-book because the pictures are smokin!) that Ms. LeBlanc offered to do Kati's first author interview. How sweet is that? And what's even sweeter... She's giving away two copies of the e-book and some other fun stuff!

Kati and I tagged team Ms. LeBlanc with some questions. I really just wanted to know where I could find DH and keep him for myself. What? A girl can try. Anyway, make sure you ALL head over to Romancing Rakes because there are pictures too!

So I happen to have an ePub copy of The Rake and The Recluse that I just downloaded the other day. I will also admit that I scrolled through the book to look at the pictures first. I just think the idea of an illustrated novel is so cool. You should also head to Jenn's Leblanc's website The Illustrated Romance and take a look at what she does!

Now make sure you comment over at Romancing Rakes. Kati's got the goods, I'm just pimping!

The giveaway will end 5/18 and trust me, you'll want to win! I hear Ms LeBlanc is sending some pictures of DH *sigh*

Oh, Monday

Happy Monday Everyone! I hope everyone had a good Mother's Day yesterday. I went shopping with my Mom to Peddler's Village in New Hope, PA. It was so nice out here in Jersey that walking around outside was fabulous. We even went in this hat store and tried on a bunch of hats and fasinators. Sadly, none were right for me but I'm not giving up hope! I will find one! I also was a nice daughter and bought my Mom and my Aunt (also my Godmother) dinner since she was going to alone with both her husband and son working. So get double points! What did you ladies do for Mother's Day?

Don't forget today, like all Monday's, is Man Candy Monday. Our topic this week is Professor Man Candy. or, how I like to think of it: Hot Guys in Glasses. Example: Matt Bomer

The fabulous Ana Farish will be blogging at the
Man Candy Monday blog about those sexy intellecual types. Now, unfortunately, none of my professors at school were anything special but maybe that's a good thing cause I'm sure I wouldn't get any work done if I was staring at them. There is something sexy about a smart man because let's be honest, you can be hot as can be with a 6pack of abs, chiseled cheeks and baby blue eyes but if you can put a sentence together then I'm so not interested. (I'll still look though lol)

Now, I also suggest you head over and visit Kati at
Romancing Rakes because she has some super sexy guys in glasses. And she is also pimping a new obessions of ours: DH you may have seen him on the cover of Jenn LeBlanc's The Rake and the Recluse. PS... It's an Illustrated Novel! That means there are pictures inside the book! How awesome is that?!? Oh, and the pictures... HAWT!

You know the drill, come hang with us on Twitter 9PM EST/6PM PST and all those times in between. Feel free to bring pictures of hot guys and share, just don't forget to use the hashtag #ManCandyMonday

Now, I'm going to be a good girl and listen to Professor Cavill.

While I'm gone... Did you have any hot professors in school? Any scandalous stories about you and the TA?

Where have all the books gone?

Today I did probably one of my favorite things, I went to the bookstore! I love browsing books, wandering the isles just trying to find a book that screams "READ ME". If you drop me in a bookstore I can amuse myself for hours! If it's a Used Bookstore I may be gone for days! I think it's the smell of books that get me. Plus, it is so rewarding to go searching for a book then it is to just click buy on the computer. And the E-book craze has taken the world by storm!

Now don't get me wrong, I love Richard Henry (my Kindle) more than words but there is just something about holding a real book in my hands. Not to mention the some of the covers are absolutely beautiful that I just have to have them so I can look at them!

So, I was at my bookstore when I discovered that many authors were not stocked. And these are pretty big authors not to have stocked. I also noticed that the Romance section seems to be setting smaller. (Also, the switched the escalators on me so I looked like a idiot trying to go up the down escalator) Plus, I know that this just isn't a ransom day where everyone is buying all the romance novels by these authors and I'll tell you why.

I was at this same bookstore a couple of weeks ago with my friend Gypsy, who I recently discovered loved romance novels when I spied Sabrina Jefferies in her purse. So I told her all about reviewing for The Season and all my Twitter peeps and fellow bloggers who recommend some fabulous books and she wanted my input about some new authors to try. Now, I like to think I know my friends and so far haven't steered them wrong yet. Like Jess, she LOVES vampires and True Blood so I suggested JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series and I haven't seen her since because "she's busy reading" and I need to leave her alone with "The Brothers". Now my friend Karen is new to the whole romance world and has been begging me to tell her what to read. She wanted a contemporary so I gave her Victoria Dahl's Talk Me Down.

There are certain authors that are my go to recommendations. Victoria Dahl is one of them so when they were out of stock of her book 2 weeks ago and told me that they would restock soon I was surprised to find that they didn't have ANY of her books, historical or contemporaries. Gypsy now thinks that I have made Victoria Dahl up but I assured her she is real.

I have also been chasing the elusive Unveiled by Courtney Milan. The didn't have it at any of my stores when it came out so I put it on my Remember To Get List. They didn't have it at my Borders, but sadly it was closing down, so when I went to my big chain store today I looked for it. Again, NOTHING by Courtney Milan.

Another thing was that they only had the most recent book of most authors. I'm big on reading series and reading them in order. I had Pamela Clare's newest book Breaking Point in my hand but where was her back list. Breaking Point is book five in her romantic suspense series but there was no book 1-4. (also there where also none of her historicals) Now, yes you don't have to read a series in order but I like too, especially when I know characters from earlier books are going to pop up.

Now, I did finally cave and order Unveiled but it's just not the same. I like going to the store and wandering around until I find a book. It's like a treasure hunt! I know that everyone is jumping on the e-book crazy but I hope that these bookstores get their acts together and start shelving these amazingly talented authors. How else am I suppose to pimp their books if they're not there.

And PS... I'm a really good book pimp! Just sayin!

Have you noticed the lack of books in your bookstore? Has your Borders shut down? Or... what are your feeling about the e-book craze?

Happy Birthday Henry!

Oh Henry Cavill today is your birthday and I have a feeling that there will be many pictures of you on twitter today. But for me... this is my favorite.

I know that Kati over at Romancing Rakes is celebrating Henry's Birthday with him in his Birthday Suit (I mean it's only proper, it IS his birthday)

Now, sadly, this handsome devil went and got himself engaged the other day. Apparently know one told him that I was single and availible, just waiting for him to propose to me. *sigh* I'm sure he will see reason soon because as long as there is no ring on his finger then there is still a chance. (please don't crush my dreams and tell me otherwise)

So on this Cinco De Mayo I wish you a very Happy Birthday Henry!

Monday, Monday

This has been a very busy weekend! First I was up at 4am on Friday to watch the Royal Wedding. Can I just say how beautiful Kate... err I believe she's Catherine now, looked in her dress! Very elegant and regal. And she looked so happy waving to crowd as she made her way to Westminster Abbey.

Her sister Pippa dress was amazing too, also a McQueen design. I was surprsed to see Pippa is white too.

Then there were the boys looking all hot and sexy in their uniforms! I say good call with the red Will!

Congrats to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge! A real life fairy tale romance!

I spent most of the day Saturday reading Never a Gentleman by Eileen Dreyer. Oh man, I'm still trying to wrap my head around it! I'll be writing my review for The Season and I will put it up here as well. Never have I read a book that hit me as hard as Never a Gentleman so stay tuned for my review.

In other news, last night all of our shows got interupted (well not mine but that was because I was watching Camelot) by the President to tell us that finally the bad guy was dead. Thanks to our fabulous military & SEALs, Osama bin Laden is dead. The President gave an amazing speech and I can't be more proud of our military! So I think it is only appropriate that we all go out and read some great romances involving those heroic Navy SEALs.

Don't forget, today is Monday so that means it's Man Candy Monday. On the Man Candy Monday blog tonight, I am guest blogging and have brought some hotties in tuxes because it is Oscar Man Candy! So don't foget to join us on Twitter 9pm EST. Tonight may be Oscar Man Candy but I have a feeling that there might be some hot military men getting some love tonight!

Did you get up early and watch the Royal Wedding? What did you think of her dress and all those crazy hats?
